Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

By installing, accessing, or using Dashka, Dashka Translator Lite, or any other product offered by us (each, the "App" or "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service is provided by TLNC TRADE LLC, 10685 Hazelhurst Dr Ste B, Houston, TX 77043-3261, USA ("we," "us," "our").

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service, except as permitted by applicable law.
  • Use the Service to translate or process content that infringes third-party rights, defames others, or constitutes harassment.
  • Use the Service to circumvent communication restrictions (for example, automated translation of bulk messaging in violation of platform rules).
  • Submit content you do not have the right to submit.
  • Attempt to interfere with the Service, its security, or its underlying infrastructure.

4. Translation accuracy

Machine translation is imperfect. Translations are provided "as is" and may contain errors. Do not rely on Dashka Translator Lite or any AI translation feature for legally binding translations, medical instructions, safety-critical communications, or other situations where accuracy is essential. For those purposes, use a certified human translator.

5. AI-generated content

The Service produces synthesized speech via text-to-speech technology and AI-generated translations. The voices are not recordings of real people — they are generated by AI. AI-generated text or audio is not a substitute for professional advice (legal, medical, financial, or otherwise).

We do not claim our translations are perfect or that our AI is the most advanced available. We use commercial AI providers under contract to provide the translation and speech synthesis features.

6. User content

You retain ownership of content you submit to the Service (text, voice, files). By submitting content, you grant us a limited license to process that content for the sole purpose of providing the Service to you (for example, sending text to a translation provider to obtain a translation). We do not use your content to train AI models. We do not sell your content.

7. Service availability

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Some features require an internet connection.

8. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TLNC TRADE LLC and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

Our total aggregate liability arising from or related to these Terms or the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim — which, for users of the free Lite edition, is zero.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TLNC TRADE LLC and its affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service in violation of these Terms or applicable law.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the App. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law) survive.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms or the Service shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Harris County, Texas, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable rights you may have under the law of your country of residence (for example, mandatory consumer-protection rights in the European Union).

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
