1. Who we are
Dashka and its products (including Dashka Translator Lite, the "App" or "Apps") are operated by TLNC TRADE LLC, a company registered in the United States.

This Privacy Policy explains what information our products process, how, and why. Different products handle data differently; product-specific sections below cover each one.
2. Summary in plain language
- We do not require you to create an account to use Dashka Translator Lite.
- We do not show ads.
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not track you across other apps.
- Translation history stays on your device unless you choose otherwise.
- Voice and text are sent to our translation servers only at the moment you translate, and are not stored after the translation completes.
3. Dashka Translator Lite — data flows
Dashka Translator Lite is an Android app that translates between Polish and Russian using your voice or typed text. The sections below describe each kind of data the App handles.
3.1 Microphone audio
What: When you tap the microphone, the App captures audio from your device's microphone for the duration of your speech.
Why: To convert your speech into text using Android's built-in speech recognition (SpeechRecognizer).
How long: Audio is processed in real time. We do not store audio on our servers or on your device after recognition completes.
Where: Speech recognition runs through Android's built-in service. Depending on your Android version and Google account settings, Google's speech recognition may process audio on Google servers — this is governed by Google's privacy policy, not ours.
3.2 Text content (your input and translations)
What: The text produced from your speech, or typed manually, or pasted from the clipboard, and the resulting translation.
Why: To translate your input.
How long: Sent to our translation backend for processing. Not stored on our servers after the translation response is returned.
Where: Our translation backend is hosted on Vercel. The backend forwards translation requests to AI translation providers under contract. Translations may be saved locally on your device as part of the translation history (most recent 30 entries). Local history is not synced to any cloud.
3.3 Clipboard content
What: When you tap the paste icon, the App reads the current contents of your device clipboard.
Why: To paste text into the input field for translation.
How long: Read at the moment of the tap. To decide whether to show the paste icon at all, the App inspects the clipboard's MIME type metadata (Android's primaryClipDescription), which does not read clipboard content. The actual clipboard text is read only when you tap paste.
Where: Stays on your device.
3.4 Translation history
What: A list of your most recent 30 translations: source text, translated text, language pair, voice persona used, and timestamp.
Why: So you can revisit, reuse, and replay past translations.
How long: Stored locally on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App. The list is capped at 30 entries; older entries are automatically removed.
Where: Your device only. Not synced, not backed up to our servers.
3.5 App diagnostic information
What: If your device is configured to share crash reports and basic technical diagnostic data with Google Play, those reports may include the App.
Why: To identify and fix bugs.
Where: Google Play Services and Google's servers, governed by Google's privacy policy.
4. Dashka (web platform) — data flows
The web platform at dashka.ai is a workspace for AI-assisted tasks. The following data may be processed when you use it.
4.1 Waitlist email
If you submit your email to the waitlist, we store it locally to contact you when access becomes available. We do not share waitlist emails with third parties for marketing.
4.2 AI conversation content
When you use the AI workspace, your prompts and uploaded files are sent to AI providers under contract (such as Anthropic and OpenAI) for processing. Providers may retain transient logs per their own policies; we do not retain your conversations on our servers beyond the active session unless you explicitly save them.
5. What we do not collect
- Your name, address, or phone number (unless you voluntarily provide it).
- Your contacts, photos, or files (unless you upload them in the App).
- Your location.
- Advertising identifiers.
- Cross-app or cross-site tracking data.
6. Third-party services
Our products rely on the following services:
- Google Android Services — built-in speech recognition and text-to-speech engines on Android devices.
- Vercel — hosting for our translation backend and web platform.
- AI translation providers — used by our backend to produce translations. Only the text you submit for translation is sent; we do not send personally identifiable information.
- Google Play Services — for crash reporting and standard Android app distribution.
These services have their own privacy policies. We do not control their practices.
7. AI-generated content
Dashka Translator Lite uses AI to translate text and to generate spoken output (text-to-speech). The voices you hear are computer-generated, not recordings of real people. Machine translation is useful but not perfect — please do not rely on it for medical, legal, or safety-critical communication.
8. Children's privacy
Our products are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has used our products, please contact us at hello@dashka.ai.
9. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (for example, the GDPR in the EU/EEA, or the CCPA in California), you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we process about you.
- Request correction or deletion.
- Withdraw consent.
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
Because Dashka Translator Lite stores history only on your device, you can exercise deletion rights by clearing the history in the App or uninstalling the App. For requests regarding data processed by our translation backend, contact us at hello@dashka.ai.
10. Security
Translation requests to our backend are sent over HTTPS (TLS 1.2 or higher). On Android, local history is stored using Android's standard DataStore Preferences mechanism in the App's private storage area, isolated from other apps.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of our products after changes constitutes acceptance.
